With the introduction of new logos on 01 September 2008 the umbrella organisations of German cattle breeding present a uniform appearance. The logos are composed of a stylized head of a cow and a bull on a coloured rectangle and differ only in the colour of this rectangle. With this standardized design the unity and close cooperation of the federal organisations of organised cattle breeding shall be demonstrated resulting in greater clearness and transparency and making them easier to recognize. Under the umbrella of Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Rinderzüchter (ADR) (German cattle breeders' federation) in green colour - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Süddeutscher Rinderzucht- und Besamungsorganisationen (ASR) (Southern German organisations of cattle breeding and insemination) appears in red - Bundesverband Deutscher Fleischrinderzüchter und -halter (BDF) (Federal organisation of German beef cattle breeders and producers) in cyan - Deutscher Holstein Verband (DHV) (German Holstein association) in blue and - Deutscher Verband für Leistungs- und Qualitätsprüfungen (DLQ) (German association for milk recording and quality control) in light blue. Through the umbrella organisations ASR, BDF, DHV and DLQ the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Rinderzüchter (ADR) joins all organisations of herdbook breeding, artificial insemination, embryo transfer as well as the organisations of milk recording and the data processing centre VIT which are operating in Germany. Especially for questions of animal breeding law, animal health, animal welfare, cattle identification, innovative breeding methods as well as questions of export and the opening of important markets abroad ADR could expand its professional expertise and activities towards politics and the ministries as well as towards other important decision-makers. Thus cooperation within ADR has been continually intensified, the tasks of ASR, BDF, DHV and DLQ were complemented and lobbying for the German cattle breeders was constantly upgraded. |
